My career in healthcare began in conventional medicine with a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. After working as a pharmacy technician for several years, I relocated to Arizona from Hawaii. It was then that I began working in physical therapy and oncology rehabilitation as a Physical Therapy Technician. During this time, I pursued a degree in physical therapy to become a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), earning certifications that complemented my background in oncology rehabilitation and recovery.
While working in outpatient physical therapy, I assisted a Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) for two years before becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) myself in 2013. During this time, I became more aware of therapeutic massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and the benefits of holistic medicine. I have over ten years of experience managing a lymphatic and lymphedema program at an outpatient orthopedic and neurological clinic in Gilbert, Arizona, where I treated all types of lymphatic complications, including those related to cancer, post-op surgical recovery, vascular issues, hormonal imbalances, lymphedema, and lipedema. More recently, I pursued additional certifications in post-op plastic surgery, becoming a Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapist (CCST), which enables me to treat the ever-growing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery population.
I started CALM—Carried Away Lymphatic Massage LLC—just over two years ago after recognizing the need for patients to receive full-body lymphatic drainage. Having worked in conventional care, I realized that we were doing a disservice to the community of patients with lymphatic issues by only treating the body parts insurance dictated as the “affected areas.” This approach left the rest of the lymphatic system untouched, preventing full recovery. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to start CALM. It has been incredibly rewarding to be free from the restrictions of conventional care, allowing us to treat the whole lymphatic system and the whole person. I have worked hard to create a relaxing yet healing environment, staffed with knowledgeable and CERTIFIED therapists who can address the needs of people with lymphatic conditions and other medical conditions.

Tya Hulett LE, LC
Licensed Esthetician & Lead
My professional journey began during my junior year of high school when I was accepted into the cosmetology program at the East Valley Institute of Technology. While completing the two-year program, I continued earning my high school credits and graduated early at age 16.
During that time, I also worked as the Lead Makeup Artist for a haunted house company, where I gained valuable experience in sanitation, creativity, teamwork, and leadership.
As I watched my mom build CALM into what it is today, my interest in skincare continued to grow.
With the support of my family, I attended G Skin & Beauty Institute and earned my esthetics license. There, I studied skincare, anatomy, massage, and many other aspects of esthetics. I became especially interested in product formulations and understanding how different ingredients affect the skin. After graduating, I continued expanding my skills by becoming certified in scalp and facial massage, as well as lash extensions.
By bringing together my education, creativity, and hands-on experience, my goal at CALM is to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident. I look forward to helping clients better understand their skin and the products they use so they can look and feel like the best versions of themselves.

Elle Arend LE
Licensed Esthetician
My journey in aesthetics began at East Valley Institute of Technology, where I received my professional training in skincare and aesthetics. I started my Aesthetician journey in 2023, driven by a desire to do more than simply provide skincare treatments. I wanted to create an experience where people could feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.
I have always believed that confidence starts from the inside out. However, I also believe there is something incredibly powerful about looking in the mirror and feeling good about the skin you are in. When your skin is healthy, glowing, and cared for, it can immediately give you an added sense of confidence.
Since beginning my career, I have continued to expand my education and expertise so I can provide treatments that focus not only on the appearance of the skin, but on its overall health. I am certified in SkinPen Microneedling, BioRePeel, and face and scalp massage.I am passionate about helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin through personalized treatments and proper skincare education.
What I love most about being an aesthetician is the personal connection I get to build with my clients. Everyone's skin is different, and so is everyone's journey with confidence. Whether someone is struggling with their skin, looking to improve their complexion, or simply wants to take time for themselves, I want every person who sits in my treatment room to feel heard, comfortable, and cared for.
My goal is to help people feel beautiful both inside and out. I want my clients to leave not only seeing a difference in their skin, but feeling a difference in themselves.
I believe skincare should never be about changing who you are. It should be about taking care of yourself, bringing out your natural beauty, and giving you the confidence to feel your absolute best. Confidence starts from the inside out, but beautiful, healthy skin can boost that confidence immediately.
